Mother's Day Gift Ideas

With Mother's Day approaching, my brain is in overdrive trying to come up with original gift ideas. I'm tired of giving flowers and gift cards, so I've been searching Etsy for unique handmade gifts to give (and receive!). I thought I'd share with you some of my finds.


I've had my eye on these etui manicure boxes for a while now. They would be such a clever gift idea for the mom who has everything. Etui needlework boxes are also available. I don't think that's recommended, but it would be hard to resist. For just $16.95, you will receive a candle that is well over a 1/2 lb. and will fill your room with wild cherry cheesecake aroma! Yummy!





Of course, everyone loves jewelry! These earrings are available at www.dreambelledesign.etsy.com for only $21.00. I purchased a similar pair for myself in blue and they are absolutely stunning! The owner, Susan, is a lovely lady who is a pleasure to work with. My earrings were shipped quickly, packaged adorably and couldn't be more gorgeous. I've received tons of compliments!




Another great find was this gourmet style mini recipe album with recipe cards. I think this is so adorable! Great for the mom who loves to cook and try out new recipes. Etsy Front Page

Easter's right around the corner, and Etsy is getting ready with this great front page (which also happens to feature my Pretty Pastel Hairpin Set)!

Unfortunately, my children are too old now for all the fun things we used to do for Easter. :( Spoon races, Easter egg hunts and pictures with the Easter bunny (who always managed to show up at our parties, that busy bunny). One year we had the kids and all their cousins rolling Easter eggs up a hill in our front yard with their noses to win prizes! You've heard of "What would you do for a Klondike bar?". You'd be amazed what children will do for toys from the Dollar Store and bragging rights. Aaahh, those were the days...
